Stampin Up Covered In Sunshine & Sentiment Stamp Techniques

10 Jan

When creating projects, do you keep your sentiments fairly simple, or do you like to step them up? Today I want to share three simple ways to add interest to your greetings, and I’ll be demonstrating these techniques using the Stampin Up Covered In Sunshine stamp set. Let’s take a look!

Covered in Sunshine Stamp Set

This is such a neat set with beautiful greetings. They were perfect to show the techniques I’m mentioning today, but keep in mind you can use these techniques with any greetings!

Technique 1 – Cut Out & Pop Up

My first idea is to cut out part of your greeting and pop it up. Simple!

Technique 2 – Multiple Colors

In the video I shared two ways to use multiple colors on your sentiments. For this one, I stamped one time using my Stamparatus and Balmy Blue ink. Then I colored the words “Dreams” “Kindness” and ”You” with a Night of Navy marker and stamped a second time. I love the effect of using multiple colors on sentiments.

Technique 3 – Even More Color & Cutting

For this sentiment I used sponge daubers to add color to the stamp. After stamping with several colors, I cut the sentiment apart with my snips.

Tutorial Video

Watch along here as I demonstrate these ideas!

What other techniques do you use to add a little something special to your greetings? Comment at the bottom and tell me!
