Isn’t it fun when you get new stamping supplies in the mail?! It’s so much fun to play with new things! Today I want to share several techniques you can try with your Stamparatus or other stamping platform, and I’m doing this using the Stampin Up Desert Details bundle that will be included in this new catalog, available for ordering January 5. In today’s video which is linked at the bottom of this post, I’m sharing 8 techniques you can try with your Stamparatus. They include two-step stamping, inking a stamp with multiple colors of ink using a sponge dauber, spritzing ink before stamping, several ways to do step stamping, creating a diagonal background, and how to create a border around a card mat. After I shared each of these techniques, I used my samples to create five card projects. I’ll share them below.
Stampin Up Desert Details Bundle
Each of these cards features this lovely bundle. This set is different from my usual style, and it pushed me outside of my comfort zone a bit, but I LOVE the resulting projects.
Stampin Up Desert Details Card #1
This card is very simple, and features the step stamping technique using greeting stamps.
Stamparatus Technique Card #2
This next card used a border technique and also two-step stamping to create the darker center to the flower.
Project #3
For this project, I used the step stamping technique to create a simple and subtle floral background.
Desert Details Card #4
I created the striped pattern for this card using two border stamps and the step stamping technique. I created the flower using sponge daubers and spritzing.
Technique Card #5
This card features a diagonal background, another technique I shared in the video, as well as a flower created using sponge daubers for color variation. So bright and bold!
