5 Last Minute Handmade Gift Ideas Any Crafter Can Make!

13 Dec

Welcome stampers! How are you doing on preparing for the holidays? Is your decorating done? How about the shopping? Are you still in need of any last minute gifts? If so, today’s ideas are for you, because I’m sharing some last minute handmade gifts ideas that you can easily create with the supplies in your collection, possibly with the addition of a few items from the dollar store. Let’s take a look.

Last Minute Handmade Gift Ideas

There are so many neat gifts you can create with your stamping supplies, and some of these you might already have on hand. Let’s take a look at five simple ideas.

1. Cards For A Year

Do you have a supply of cards already made up? If so, sort through them and pick out a card for each holiday and special occasion. Add envelopes, then tie a nice ribbon around them or add a gift box for a beautiful gift. Another idea instead of choosing cards for each holiday is to choose several cards for each type of occasion – birthday, wedding, baby, thinking of you, sympathy, and get well – and package those up. What a special gift! Your recipient will be stocked up with cards for the year, and your love will travel so much further than your recipient when they share these cards with others!

2. Dry Erase Board

These are so easy to create, and they can be used for many different uses. I created this board to keep track of prayer requests, but these can be used for grocery lists, to-do lists, message boards, inspirational messages and more. Just use a picture frame, decorate it, and make sure to keep the glass in the frame so that you can write and erase with a dry erase marker.

I decorated this board and the candle below with a gorgeous new bundle coming January 5 called Two Tone Flora. Isn’t it lovely? Anyone signing up with Stampin Up can get it now if you can’t wait until January 5!

3. Decorated Candle

This is so simple to create! Wrap ribbon or a strip of paper around a candle, and decorate with punches or die cuts. Make several to keep on hand for when you need a gift in a pinch.

4. Personalized Sign

I made these for my Stampin Up team members as their Christmas gifts this year! I got signs from the dollar store, then added Texture Chic designer paper, letter die cuts using a soon-to-be-released die set called Alphabet A La Mode, the words ‘stampin spot’ that I stamped with the Alphabest stamp set, and a die cut from the Forever Fern set. You could make personalized signs for a child’s bedroom door, someone’s kitchen, for special interests like these, or with inspirational messages.

5. Coordinating Card Set

This idea is similar to cards for a year, but it is a coordinating card set. Make sure to watch along with the video below for a neat tip for making card sets simply.
