Stamp Label Ripped? Let’s Fix It!

8 Sep

I love that Stampin Up came out with cling labels for our stamps a couple of years ago. I no longer have to fuss with getting my stamps to cling to a block or my Stamparatus. But…sometimes those cling labels cling a little too well. Do you ever try to remove your stamp from the block and it doesn’t want to come off? Even worse, have you accidentally pulled too hard and the stamp ripped off of the label, so the label is still stuck to the block but the stamp isn’t? Today I’ll share a quick tip for what to do if this happens.

Today's card making tip is how to fix a ripped rubber stamp cling label! It's easy to fix - click to see how!

How To Fix A Ripped Cling Label

Here’s what to do if your stamp rips off of the cling label. Apply multipurpose glue to the stamp, covering any area where the cling label ripped off. You want it to be a thin but noticeable layer of glue. Make sure the glue goes all the way to the edges of the stamp, but you don’t want so much that it will ooze out.

Next, lay the cling label back over top of the glue. Place the stamp, label side down, onto a surface that won’t be affected if glue comes out, such as a cutting mat or counter top. Place something heavy on top.

I used three punches, carefully stacked. Let dry for at least an hour or two.

That’s it! Once dry, your stamp should be as good as new!
