Tiny Purse Treat Holder – Fill With Candy, Jewelry, or Lip Balm!

9 Oct

Welcome! I’m glad you’re here today, and I’m so excited to share today’s project, which is an adorable tiny purse treat holder. It is simple to create, and I’m planning to make up quite a few of these for small gifts and favors in the near future. Let me share how to make them!

Tiny Purse Treat Holder Video

To watch my simple tutorial for creating one of these tiny purses, watch along here.

Cutting Dimensions

Here are the materials you’ll need to create a tiny purse treat holder.

6″ x 6″ designer paper

2″ x 4″ paper

6″ ribbon

Strawberry Builder punch flower punched out

Gem embellishment

Velcro dot or small magnet

In the section below, I’ll share basic instructions for assembling your purse.

Tiny Purse Instructions

Begin with your scoring board and the 6″ x 6″ paper. Score it on one edge at 1 1/4″ and 4 3/4″. Turn it 90 degrees and score at 2 1/2″ and 3 1/2″.

Fold on all scored lines and then create diagonal folds as shown in the video.

Add ribbon for handle.

Adhere sides.

Prepare 2″ x 4″ piece. Score it at 1 1/2″, then punch the shorter end with the Fancy Tag Topper punch. Add the flower and embellishment on the decorative end.

Attach the piece prepared above to the purse base, with the flap hanging unattached over the front.

Fold purse into shape, then add velcro dot to hold flap in place.

Fill Them Up!

What would fit inside? Here are a few ideas I’ve come up with:

Lip balm

Mints or other hard candies

Mini candy bars

Jewelry

Hand sanitizer

Mini bookmark

Decorative magnets

Mini post-its, paper clips and other office supplies

What else can you think of to drop inside? Drop a comment at the bottom and please share your ideas.
