April 2020 Paper Pumpkin Alternatives & Cards

Have you heard about Paper Pumpkin? Have you heard about April’s Paper Pumpkin that just came out? It is amazing and I had to pull it out and start creating the other day so that I could share my April 2020 Paper Pumpkin alternatives and card ideas with you!

This month’s kit was called My Wonderful Family, and it features trees and foliage. Love it! Trees are simply amazing and perfect for so many types of projects. Even better…the tree stamp included in this kit can be used once for a smaller tree, or twice together for a larger tree. How creative!

In the photo above, you can see some of the cards I made with my kit. It came with the stamps, ink, and paper materials (pre-cut and ready to use) for eight cards – four of each of the two designs. I had quite a few leftover die cuts, and I used the stamp set to create two alternatives – a scrapbook page and framed art to be used as a gift.

Let’s take a look at the scrapbook page. I stamped the trees across the background using different colors of green ink. This could be used to highlight family pictures as in your ‘family tree,’ or would also be perfect for anything outdoorsy.

I made the focal point in the lower corner using one of the leftover tree trunk die cuts and a leftover tag. I stamped ‘my family’ by using a marker on just one part of the ‘I’m glad you are my family’ stamp. I just love how this turned out!

Here is the second idea of my April 2020 Paper Pumpkin alternatives. It is a framed art piece that is supposed to represent the four seasons. I’m not sure if it looks like the four seasons or not, but I thought it turned out pretty regardless.
