At times us crafters can collect more craft supplies than we can use. Do you know the feeling? Today I want to share some ideas to help you destash your paper collection…if you happen to have more paper than you need at the moment. I have several simple fun fold card ideas to share today to help you use your paper stash. I created today’s cards using our new Florals In Bloom product suite and I just love how they turned out. Let’s take a look at them.

Use that paper stash video tutorial
Watch along here to see how I created these lovely card ideas. Stick around until the end to hear a bit about my new gardening endeavor for the season, which is no-tilling the garden.
flowers in bloom product suite
Before we take a look at the cards, I wanted to share this beautiful new product suite that I used on today’s cards. It includes two separate stamp and die sets, a beautiful paper pack, and coordinating gems.

The floral stamps are unique because you can stamp and die cut all 3 flowers in the cluster at one time, which speeds up die cutting. I love time-saving products!
Card designs to use your paper stash
This first card uses a 4 x 1/4“ cardstock base with a piece of designer paper on top that measures 5 1/4“ x 8“, folded at the 4″ mark. The mat that I put on the inside measures 3 1/2“ x 4 3/4”. Super easy and cute right?

Here you can see the inside.

My second design also uses a 4 1/4“ x 5 1/2“ cardstock base. For this one I used a piece of designer paper that measures 5 1/4“ x 12“ and I scored it at 4″ and 8″. This gives a nice Z fold for a fun effect. The mat on the inside measures 3 1/2“ x 4 3/4″.

This is a fun pocket fold card that is a great way to use a piece of 8 1/2 x 11“ patterned paper. It’s so easy to create! Watch along with the video tutorial to see exactly how I created it.

I thought a tiny card would be a fun way to finish up today’s tutorial. The cardstock base for this card measures 3″ x 3″.

To make the accordion fold pop out, you will need two pieces of patterned paper that measure 2 3/4″ by 12″ and you will need to score them at 2 3/4″, 5 1/2″, 8 1/4″, and 11″. I shared in the video how to assemble it. The mat for the inside of the card measures 2 3/4″ x 2 3/4″.

You could sit down for an afternoon and crank out some of these card designs and use up quite a lot of designer paper while also building up your card collection. If you have other awesome ways to use patterned papers, I would love for you to share them with me in the comments below.
